Members of UCR's bagpipe band were a hit when they appeared on national television as the pep band supporting the
women's basketball team during their trip to compete in the NCAA Division I tournament in North Carolina.

UCRís bagpipe band marched with style at the NCAA Division I tournament.
For the first time in its history, the womenís basketball team made an appearance in an NCAA Division I tournament game on national television and while the women didnít beat top-seeded North Carolina, they played well.

Staff Recognized for Hard Work, Dedication
Annual awards are presented by the UCR Staff Assembly.
On April 19th, the 2005-06 Staff Recognition Awards Ceremony honored the nominees and award recipients in four categories: professional, administrative support, technical and service. This year, the staff recognition awards committee identified 30 nominees and seven recipients of the Staff Who Make A Difference and Outstanding Staff awards.
