A Hill of Beans, a Tower of Albacore
Judges flip their lids over engineering students’ canned-food rendering of UCR.
A mountain of baked beans, an 8-foot-tall bell tower of albacore cans and silver sardine-can arches built by UC Riverside engineering students won the hearts of judges in Canstruction, a Riverside Arts Alliance fund raiser for the Riverside Art Museum.

Making UCR a Better Place for Employees
UCR employees deserve more career counseling, better communication with their managers and new forms of recognition for a job well done. Those are among the recommendations by the Climate Survey Work Groups and Focus Groups, which were formed following a campus survey last year that found employee job satisfaction to be a little chilly.

Web Site Highlights UCR’s Diversity
Diversity@UCR, a new Web site highlighting diversity-oriented programs and services at UC Riverside, will launch with a celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 31 at the UCR Bell Tower, Rivera Library Arches and Olmsted Plaza.
